I've ordered a new cable just in case that was the issue, but I suspect it's not.Īlso, I get that linux native filesystems aren't readable by Windows, but it's my understanding that Home Assistant OS disk images include a small FAT32 partition, which should be readable. Everyone's comments about the importance of having a good backup strategy are spot on. Anything I should know about this drive or recommendations for others?Įdit: I use the Google Backups add on so I'm good even if this drive is trash. It's about 70% more $ than the Kingston, but happy to pay for more reliability.
